Exclusive images of the bizarre illumination at the iconic landmark in World Cup host city Rio de Janeiro on Sunday, which appears to be connected to football

Residents of Rio de Janeiro were left bemused by the appearance of a series of unidentified signs and circles on the face of Sugarloaf Mountain on Sunday night.
As darkness fell, witnesses reported seeing a green laser beam fired from an unknown location onto the 396m mountainside overseeing the Atlantic Ocean.
The beam gradually enlarged to form scrambled symbols which gave the impression of an encrypted message. "What does it all mean?" asked one stunned bystander. "Why is this happening?"

The encoded letters increased in brightness before settling into the shape of a gigantic logo. It resembled a giant circle with a football shape carved into the centre of the image. Rio is due to stage key matches and the World Cup final next summer but it is not yet clear what connection this unexplained incident has to the sport.
The mysterious hologram remained illuminated on Sugarloaf for more than two hours before finally fading, at which point wording appeared clearly stating: #winnertakesearth.
The unusual scene also prompted passing drivers to reduce their speed and residents to flock to the edge of the oceanic Guanabara Bay. It was not long before the discussion spread to Twitter where grainy photographs were posted.
Maria Clara Rocha, 27, said: "I have lived in Rio all my life and I have never seen anything like it. It was very eerie and spooky. I really want to know what this all means."

Kim Kardashian is officially on lock down ... again -- Kanye West pulled off a huge birthday surprise by renting out an entire baseball stadium and asking Kim to marry him Monday evening.

Kanye reportedly borrowed AT&T Park -- home of the San Francisco Giants -- and popped the question in front of family and friends. Shocker ... she said yes.

E! first reported the engagement ... which comes 4 months after Kim and Kanye's daughter North was born -- and 18 months after they went public as a couple.

Monday was Kim's 33rd birthday. This will be her third shot at "til death do we part," and Yeezy's first.

We're guessing this marriage will last longer than Kim's last one ... although 72 days with Kris Humphries is hardly a high standard

 

Lamar Odom to 7-Year-Old Kid Don't Do Drugs

Do as he says, not as he does -- at least that was Lamar Odom's advice to a 7-year-old boy Saturday night ... when he warned him about the dangers of drug abuse.

Odom was at a birthday party at Tokyo Delves in North Hollywood -- along with about 20 people -- when the young boy named Elijah approached Odom to ask for a photo.

Elijah's mother tells us, Odom initially turned the kid down, offering to shake Elijah's hand instead and have a brief conversation ... which they did.

The mom says Lamar pontificated about the merits of education and staying in school -- and even encouraged Elijah (who is tall for his age) to play basketball -- but the ironic twist, Lamar finished the conversation by telling him, "Don't do drugs."

He then offered to take the above photo, despite previously refusing.

And this is cool -- sources in the restaurant say Lamar covered the tab for the birthday party (totaling more than $1,000) and left a $200 tip

Jay Z, Eminem & Black Star Included On Green-Label's List Of "Top 10 Hip Hop Collaborations"

 

Green-Label lists the best collaborations in Hip Hop history.

Green-Label.com released its list of “Top 10 Hip Hop Collaborations,” which features a list of classic combinations between Rap heavyweights from three different decades.
A track featured in the list was Jay Z and Eminem’s “Renegade.” “The only Rap feature on Jay Z’s 2001 album The Blueprint was the only other emcee in the world as big a star as Hov: Eminem,” reads the entry on Green-Label’s list. “A lyrics-loving fan’s dream, the track finds Jay and Em going back-and-forth for two verses apiece, waxing about the difficulties brought on by fame, media attention, and a host of other issues. Rarely performed live, the song had something of a revival on 2010’s The Home & Home Tour, which featured performances by Jay Z and Eminem’s respective hometowns of New York City and Detroit. Debates rage to this day about which artist had the superior verse over Em’s somber production, but there definitely is a consensus winner: the fans.”
Green-Label also listed Craig Mack, Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J, The Notorious B.I.G., and Rampage’s “Flava In Ya Ear Remix,” and Black Star’s and Common’s “Respiration,” among others.

Ja Rule Reveals He Made His Own Food While In Prison

 

 

While Ja Rule was serving hard time, his food choices apparently weren't so bad.

In 2007, Ja Rule was arrested for weapons possession, and a conviction sent him to prison for two years. The New York rapper was finally released this past May.
In a recent interview with TMZ, Ja revealed that of all the complaints he might've had while in the pen, the food wasn't necessarily one of them.
"It's not too good," said Ja, before adding, "You get packages and stuff like that. You can eat decent enough. I ate everything. In jail we was pretty crafty. We made lasagna, we made cheesecakes."
Ja continued, explaining that he left most of the cooking to himself. "I didn't really eat prison food. I didn't go to the chow hall too much. We usually just cooked in our dorm. That's when we made it, it was pretty decent," he said.
