Earlier this month Rihanna shocked her fans by getting a traditional maori tattoo performed with a chisel and mallet. She just got the painful memento covered up...with a more hideous tattoo.
According to reports, Rihanna was so over her maori tattoo that she flew her New York tattoo artist Bang Bang to the Dominican Republic to cover it between tour dates! Check out the new ink she got after the cut...

2 Chainz Wants Jay Z Feature On His Next Album
The College Park native also touches base on
his health, exploring avenues outside of music, and his working
relationship with YMCMB.
Just over a month removed from the release of his second commercial album, B.O.A.T.S. II #MeTime, which was released less than a year after his debut, 2 Chainz
stopped by Hot 93.7's Hot Afternoon Show in Hartford, CT and revealed
to host Jenny Boom that he has already begun working on his third album.
Formerly associated as a half of the group Playaz Circle under the name Tity Boi, 2 Chainz changed his artist name in 2011 and greater commercial success soon followed with the release of his mixtape T.R.U. REALigion.
On the show, 2 Chainz commented on the frequency of his
release schedule with a reference to his experience with noncommercial
releases. “I come from the mixtape world, the mixtape market,” he said.
“So, for me to put out quality street music in an album format is good
for my fanbase. I’m already working on my third album, I have a single
already. I never stop—the day my album dropped, I went to the studio.”
2 Chainz’s latest album also featured a deluxe edition
coupled with a self-penned recipe book from the rapper himself. “I have a
cook book with my deluxe album called ‘Meal Time,’” he said. “It has
opened up a lot of different doors to talk about a healthy lifestyle,
healthy eating, and what food does for me, as far as me having stomach
ailments, having to be in the public as much as I have to be, and at the
top of my health—I have ulcers and I have acid reflux, I have my good
days and I have my days where I can’t move. For me, I have to have a
certain lifestyle—a certain eating regiment, can’t get too full, can’t
get too hungry,” he said. He explained the unconventional move with a
reference to his own hit single from his debut album. “When you have
song like ‘I’m Different,’ you can’t be a cliche type of person. I
decided to put out something fun and educational at the same time."

2 Chainz also explained the motivation behind securing a Jay Z feature for his still untitled third commercial record. “I always had it in mind that I was gonna put Jay Z on my third album,” he said. “Some people skip steps and then wonder why they don’t have anywhere to go, they build these glass ceilings. I still feel like I have room to grow, I haven’t peaked out yet. It’s always exciting to get a verse or something like that from Jay Z for the new album.” When asked if a Jay Z feature would fulfill his desire to work alongside great artists, 2 Chainz added that there are several other rappers he would still like to collaborate with. “You’ve still got Eminem,” he said, “you’ve got Andre 3000. You’ve got your ‘A’ list and then you’ve got your ‘A-A’ list. I guess you got a triple ‘A’ list. You’ve got your certain people that are very successful in the game right now—Drizzy, Wayne, myself, Ross, Sean.”
With a more general reference to his future in the music
business, 2 Chainz reported that he simply wants to continue thriving as
a solo artist. “I want to continue doing me, continue growing as an
artist, to be a successful mainstream artist.” Looking back at his
recent rise to commercial prominence, the College Park native took time
to reflect on the process. “It’s been one hell of a ride. It’s hard for
me to really enjoy the success of 2 Chainz,” he said. “I’m a product of
hard work, I enjoy the grind– dropping two albums in one year, touring,
videos, etc., it’s not easy, there’s only a few people who can do that.
I’m just happy to satisfy my fans."
Chris Brown Arrested For Felony Assault
Chris Brown allegedly attacked a man outside of a Washington, D.C. hotel this morning.
Chris Brown has been arrested for felony assault after allegedly attacking a man outside of a hotel this morning (October 27), according to TMZ.com.The singer was reportedly approached at approximately 4:30 am by two women who wanted to take a picture with him in front of the W Hotel in Washington, D.C., according to law enforcement, as per TMZ. When two men attempted to get into the photo, Brown allegedly used a gay slur before allegedly throwing a punch at the alleged victim, as per TMZ.com.
Brown is now in police custody, TMZ says.
Law enforcement officials said that Brown did not appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the incident, according to TMZ.
The alleged victim did not throw a punch at Brown and the two did not know each other, TMZ says.
Brown’s bodyguard was also arrested, TMZ.com says.
The alleged victim is being evaluated at a D.C. hospital and sources say that he's claiming he was injured in the alleged assault, TMZ.com says.
Brown is on probation for his 2009 assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna and this incident could be viewed a violation of his probation, TMZ says. If so, he could be sentenced to prison for up to four years.
Benzino Says Eminem And Dr. Dre Beef Wasn't Personal
Benzino also says Dr. Dre is "arguably the greatest producer of Hip Hop in our time."
In
a recently published interview with VladTV, rapper and media executive
Benzino explained the nature of his long-running dispute with Eminem and Dr. Dre, saying “it wasn’t a personal thing” as well as explaining the first time that he saw the Detroit rapper in person.
“One time I was in L.A., and I don’t know if he remembers
this, but I remember I was by Jerry’s Deli, I think that was the first
time I’d ever seen [Eminem] and I looked at him,” he said, “and I was
like, ‘man, he’s a lot taller than I thought he was.’ That was really
it.”
Despite their widely publicized beef, in hindsight, Benzino
did acknowledge Eminem and Dr. Dre’s commercial success alongside an
admission of his affinity for Dre’s music. “He was being produced by
arguably the greatest producer of Hip Hop in our time,” he said, “I
recognize that, I mean, Dr. Dre is my hero, you know what I’m saying. I
mean, The Chronic, [Snoop Dogg], Dogg Pound, I mean everything, I was turned out by N.W.A. N.W.A. is top five dead or alive to me.”

Benzino’s controversial feud with both Eminem and Dr. Dre
as well as their shared label, Interscope, largely stemmed from the
monthly Hip Hop publication The Source’s evaluation of Eminem’s
sophomore album, The Marshall Mathers LP, in 2000. By that
time, Benzino had since joined the publication as a co-owner several
years prior. Notably, Benzino was chastised for previous editorial
missteps when he granted his own group, Made Men, a coveted four out of
five ‘mics’ rating in 1998. The magazine granted The Marshall Mathers LP
the relatively low rating of two ‘mics’ two years later despite its
critical acclaim elsewhere. The beef quickly escalated with Benzino’s
accusation of Eminem being racist and his releasing a string of diss
tracks against the rapper. In February of 2003, with Ja Rule on the
cover, Benzino appeared inside The Source in a picture holding Eminem’s
decapitated head. Following that issue, Eminem, Dr. Dre, and Aftermath
boycotted the publication and eventually Interscope removed all
advertising from the magazine.
“It wasn’t a personal thing about these guys and what they
accomplished,” Benzino said in the recent VladTV interview, “I was just
looking at the bigger picture and I don’t think they understood that. It
was 50 [Cent] I was trying to get on a song when all of this was going
on, me and 50 had a pretty good relationship, I had met him through Tone
and Poke which Steve Stout had introduced me to—the Trackmasters—and
then I remember when he had that situation with Ja [Rule] at the Hit
Factory, he ran down to my session when I was with the Made Men at Sony
and he had shown me his stab [wound], I called him a car service and got
him up out of there. I hadn’t known Ja, it’s crazy because now me and
Ja, like that’s my brother. Like, our kids, he’s the godfather of my
kids and I’m the godfather of his kids, we’re family. My daughter just
went to the Rihanna concert with [Ja Rule’s daughter] Brittany the other
day. My son stays weekends til this day, they live in Jersey.
Raymond “Benzino” Scott first gained attention as a member
of the Boston-based Hip Hop group The Almighty RSO beginning in the late
1980s. The group released an EP in 1992 preceding their long playing
debut, Doomsday: Forever RSO, in 1996. The group also
experienced a short-lived affiliation with Queen Latifah’s Flavor Unit
and was later managed by the management company of the same name. Later,
in 1998, Benzino and another member of the group formed a new group
called Made Men and released an album titled Classic Limited Edition.
Benzino is currently a recurring character on VH1’s reality show "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta."
Al Sharpton Rejects Criticisms Of Jay Z's Barneys Collection
Sharpton says "this is about Barneys first."
The
high-end department store Barneys New York has recently come under fire
amidst separate accusations of racial profiling and discrimination at
its Madison Avenue location. The news brought with it criticisms of and protests against Jay Z’s planned holiday collection collaboration with the store. The collection, called “A New York Holiday,” was announced in September and is scheduled to include limited edition clothing and accessories.
Famed Civil Rights leader Reverend Al Sharpton
recently commented on the requests for protesting Jay Z’s collection
with a call to redirect attention on the department store itself. “Some
people want to make this about Jay-Z,” he said as reported in an article
by The New York Post.
“No, this is about Barneys first.” Sharpton made his statements at the
non-profit civil rights organization he founded in the early 1990s
called the National Action Network.
Sharpton and other critics have called for the department
store’s cooperation in providing information on past instances of
reporting shoppers to the NYPD as they did in both of the recent
incidents. “What is the collusion between the NYPD and your security
that four blocks away from the store, the NYPD stops somebody that
bought something in your store?” he said. “We call 911 and can’t get no
response. Somebody spent over two grand, and you pick them up four
blocks later.” He continued with a public announcement of a planned
protest of the store itself. “We’ll march all the way down to your
store,” he said, and given the proximity to the upcoming holiday, added,
“I’ll serve turkey right on the corner.”
The President of Sharpton’s NAN Brooklyn chapter, Kirsten
John Foy, added onto Sharpton’s comments with a more specific mention of
the rapper per the Post’s article.“There’s a lot of talk about whether
or not Barneys should be doing business with certain black people,” he
said. “I think it’s a racist notion to assume that the only black person
Barneys does business with is Jay Z. We’re not there to focus on Jay Z.
[He] did not write the corporate policy at Barneys. Jay Z is just like
every other business man, he is there to make money and if he is the
only black business man that does business with Barneys—that is the
problem. Barneys is what’s on the table right now.”
Jay
Z himself made his first public statement regarding the controversy via
his own lifeandtimes.com website yesterday (October 26). While not in response to Foy's comments, the Magna Carta Holy Grail rapper rejected
the idea that he was making money from the detail, writing that he's
"not making a dime from this collection." His statement also addressed
the discrimination and his recent critics.“I move and speak based on
facts and not emotion," he writes. "I haven’t made any comments because I
am waiting on facts and the outcome of a meeting between community
leaders and Barneys. Why am I being demonized, denounced and thrown on
the cover of a newspaper for not speaking immediately? The negligent,
erroneous reports and attacks on my character, intentions, and the
spirit of this collaboration have forced me into a statement I didn’t
want to make without the full facts.
“I am against discrimination of any kind, but if I make
snap judgements, no matter who it’s towards, aren’t I committing the
same sin as someone who profiles? I am no stranger to being profiled and
I truly empathize with anyone that has been put in that position.
Hopefully this brings forth a dialogue to effect real change.”

Mysterious messages on Sugarloaf mountain
Exclusive images of the bizarre illumination at
the iconic landmark in World Cup host city Rio de Janeiro on Sunday,
which appears to be connected to football
EXTRA TIMEResidents of Rio de Janeiro were left bemused by the appearance of a series of unidentified signs and circles on the face of Sugarloaf Mountain on Sunday night.
As darkness fell, witnesses reported seeing a green laser beam fired from an unknown location onto the 396m mountainside overseeing the Atlantic Ocean.
The beam gradually enlarged to form scrambled symbols which gave the impression of an encrypted message. "What does it all mean?" asked one stunned bystander. "Why is this happening?"
The encoded letters increased in brightness before settling into the shape of a gigantic logo. It resembled a giant circle with a football shape carved into the centre of the image. Rio is due to stage key matches and the World Cup final next summer but it is not yet clear what connection this unexplained incident has to the sport.
The mysterious hologram remained illuminated on Sugarloaf for more than two hours before finally fading, at which point wording appeared clearly stating: #winnertakesearth.
The unusual scene also prompted passing drivers to reduce their speed and residents to flock to the edge of the oceanic Guanabara Bay. It was not long before the discussion spread to Twitter where grainy photographs were posted.
Maria Clara Rocha, 27, said: "I have lived in Rio all my life and I have never seen anything like it. It was very eerie and spooky. I really want to know what this all means."
Kanye & Kim K. Yeezus! They're Finally Engaged
Kim Kardashian is officially on lock down ... again -- Kanye West pulled off a huge birthday surprise by renting out an entire baseball stadium and asking Kim to marry him Monday evening.
Kanye reportedly borrowed AT&T Park -- home of the San Francisco Giants -- and popped the question in front of family and friends. Shocker ... she said yes.
E! first reported the engagement ... which comes 4 months after Kim and Kanye's daughter North was born -- and 18 months after they went public as a couple.
Monday was Kim's 33rd birthday. This will be her third shot at "til death do we part," and Yeezy's first.
We're guessing this marriage will last longer than Kim's last one ... although 72 days with Kris Humphries is hardly a high standard
Lamar Odom to 7-Year-Old Kid Don't Do Drugs
Do as he says, not as he does -- at least that was Lamar Odom's advice to a 7-year-old boy Saturday night ... when he warned him about the dangers of drug abuse.
Odom was at a birthday party at Tokyo Delves in North Hollywood -- along with about 20 people -- when the young boy named Elijah approached Odom to ask for a photo.
Elijah's mother tells us, Odom initially turned the kid down, offering to shake Elijah's hand instead and have a brief conversation ... which they did.
The mom says Lamar pontificated about the merits of education and staying in school -- and even encouraged Elijah (who is tall for his age) to play basketball -- but the ironic twist, Lamar finished the conversation by telling him, "Don't do drugs."
He then offered to take the above photo, despite previously refusing.
And this is cool -- sources in the restaurant say Lamar covered the tab for the birthday party (totaling more than $1,000) and left a $200 tip
Jay Z, Eminem & Black Star Included On Green-Label's List Of "Top 10 Hip Hop Collaborations"
Green-Label lists the best collaborations in Hip Hop history.
Green-Label.com
released its list of “Top 10 Hip Hop Collaborations,” which features a
list of classic combinations between Rap heavyweights from three
different decades.A track featured in the list was Jay Z and Eminem’s “Renegade.” “The only Rap feature on Jay Z’s 2001 album The Blueprint was the only other emcee in the world as big a star as Hov: Eminem,” reads the entry on Green-Label’s list. “A lyrics-loving fan’s dream, the track finds Jay and Em going back-and-forth for two verses apiece, waxing about the difficulties brought on by fame, media attention, and a host of other issues. Rarely performed live, the song had something of a revival on 2010’s The Home & Home Tour, which featured performances by Jay Z and Eminem’s respective hometowns of New York City and Detroit. Debates rage to this day about which artist had the superior verse over Em’s somber production, but there definitely is a consensus winner: the fans.”
Green-Label also listed Craig Mack, Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J, The Notorious B.I.G., and Rampage’s “Flava In Ya Ear Remix,” and Black Star’s and Common’s “Respiration,” among others.
Ja Rule Reveals He Made His Own Food While In Prison
While Ja Rule was serving hard time, his food choices apparently weren't so bad.
In
2007, Ja Rule was arrested for weapons possession, and a conviction
sent him to prison for two years. The New York rapper was finally released this past May.In a recent interview with TMZ, Ja revealed that of all the complaints he might've had while in the pen, the food wasn't necessarily one of them.
"It's not too good," said Ja, before adding, "You get packages and stuff like that. You can eat decent enough. I ate everything. In jail we was pretty crafty. We made lasagna, we made cheesecakes."
Ja continued, explaining that he left most of the cooking to himself. "I didn't really eat prison food. I didn't go to the chow hall too much. We usually just cooked in our dorm. That's when we made it, it was pretty decent," he said.
